A Quick Guide to Comcast Email Settings on iPad and iPhone. Comcast is one of the most popular internet service providers (ISPs) in the United States. It commands a loyal fan-following in the home ground despite competition from other popular service providers. However, sometimes users fail to configure it correctly due to which they often face a number of problems.
If you are one of those, this quick guide will come in very handy as it takes you through some easy ways for Comcast email configuration and Comcast email settings on iPhone and iPad.
Comcast Email Settings on iPad and iPhone
Before you jump on to it directly, make sure you are ready with the following:
- While carrying out the settings for Comcast email, the user must possess a stable internet connection. And the device used to set up Comcast SMTP configuration should also be connected to the internet properly.
- An active Comcast email ID and password are needed as these credentials will be required for the setup.
- Configuration in the email settings does not bring any change in data files. However, you must keep a backup for safety.
Comcast email settings can be executed through Comcast SMTP (The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) configuration and POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3).
Setup Your Comcast.net Account with Your Email Program Using SMTP
Open the email application in your respective mobile device, navigate to the port configuration, and use the following settings for Comcast email configuration on iPad.
Name of the incoming mail server: imap.comcast.net
Number of the incoming mail server port: 993 with SSL
Name of the outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
Number of the outgoing mail server: 587
After entering the settings, check ‘SSL Encryption’ and provide your authentic username and password.
For smoother functioning of the email program, we do not recommend POP3 settings to anybody.
However, if for some reasons you have to configure your Comcast email settings through POP3, then you can follow these steps:
Name of the incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
Name of the Incoming server port (POP3): 995 with SSL
Note: Incoming port number 110 for POP3 is not assisted by Comcast anymore.
Once you have applied the aforementioned step restart the device you made changes in and access Comcast emails on the device easily. But if you are still facing some issues with Comcast email settings, contact Errorsdoc.com now to speak to our representative.
